Stainless Steel Sinks

General Cleaning

Be sure to thoroughly rinse the sink and dry it with a towel to prevent water spots and mineral deposits from accumulating on the surface after each use. Additionally, to maintain the beautiful luster and durability of your stainless steel sink, we recommend cleaning it once a week using water and a mild liquid soap detergent (ammonia-free). Apply the cleaner with a soft sponge, thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water, and pat dry with a microfiber cleaning cloth.

Hard Water Solutions & Deep Cleaning

If hard water deposits build up over time, use vinegar to neutralize the minerals and remove the deposits. Use a soft dishcloth saturated with vinegar to gently rub the sink surface, then rinse with water and towel dry. This method is safe for the PVD coating and helps keep your sink looking pristine.

Maximum Surface Protection

To protect the finish on the bottom of the sink bowl, we recommend using TORVA stainless steel bottom grids. These grids help prevent scratches and overall wear. Most TORVA stainless steel sink models include these grids. If you need a replacement grid, our customer service team is here to assist you. Email: [email protected]

Surface Scratches

Surface scratches from normal use are common, even in PVD-coated sinks. Over time, with proper cleaning, they will blend into the overall finish of your sink. To soften most minor scratches, use a fine (white) 3M Scotch Brite pad or 3M Scotch Brite Natural Fiber Non-Scratch Scour Pad, with a deep cleansing agent like Bar Keepers Friend.

Things To Avoid

  • DO NOT leave low-carbon steel or iron kitchenware in the sink.
  • DO NOT use coarse abrasive powders, metallic scourers such as steel wool or brushes with metal bristles.
  • DO NOT leave standing solutions of chlorine bleach and water inthe sink.
  • DO NOT allow liquid soap or other cleansers to dry on the surface of the sink.
  • DO NOT leave food with high-salt content such as pickles, bearmaise sauce or mustard in the sink.

Kitchen Faucets

General Cleaning

For regular maintenance, clean your TORVA faucet periodically using a soft cloth to wipe the product dry after each use. We advise spot-testing any new cleaner on a concealed area of the faucet before applying it to the entire surface. Always rinse the cleaner off thoroughly with water immediately after cleaning the faucet to prevent any residue buildup.

Hard Water Solutions & Deep Cleaning

To prevent the buildup of water spots, rinse your TORVA faucet thoroughly and wipe it down with a damp cloth. Follow by patting the faucet dry with a microfiber cleaning cloth to achieve optimal results and prolong the faucet’s shine.

Things To Avoid

  • DO NOT use cleaners containing any abrasive powders, bleach, ammonia, alcohol, vinegar, or chlorine.
  • DO NOT use abrasive pads, steel wool, or wire brushes when cleaning the faucet.

RV Water Tanks

General Cleaning

  1. Ensure the tank is empty. If not, drain all water from the tank by opening the drain valve or removing the drain plug.
  2. Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing water with a mild detergent or specialized RV tank cleaner. Make sure the cleaner is safe for potable water systems.
  3. Pour the cleaning solution into the tank through the fill port.
  4. Agitate the tank by driving the RV through bumpy terrain or by manually shaking the tank if it is portable. This ensures the cleaning solution contacts all internal surfaces.
  5. Drain the cleaning solution from the tank.
  6. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water to remove any residual cleaning solution. Repeat the rinse process until the water runs clear from the tank.
  7. Allow the tank to air dry or use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the inside of the tank.

Sanitation

  1. After cleaning, it’s important to sanitize the tank. Use an RV-approved sanitation solution or a bleach solution (1/4 cup of bleach per 15 gallons of water).
  2. Fill the tank with the sanitation solution and let it sit for several hours, or per the sanitizer’s instructions.
  3. Drain the sanitation solution completely.
  4. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water multiple times to ensure all traces of the sanitizer are removed.

Regular Maintenance Tips

  • Inspect Regularly: Regularly inspect the tank for any signs of wear, leaks, or damage. Look at seals and connections to ensure they are intact.
  • Keep it Clean: Perform the cleaning and sanitizing procedure at least once every six months or more frequently if the RV is used often.
  • Use Water Filters: Always use a water filter when filling the tank to prevent any debris or contaminants from entering.
  • Avoid Standing Water: Do not leave water standing in the tank for extended periods as it can lead to bacteria growth.
  • Monitor Water Levels: Regularly monitor water levels to avoid overfilling, which can damage the tank or plumbing system.

Things To Avoid

  • DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the tank or contaminate the water.
  • DO NOT leave the tank empty or full in freezing conditions without winterizing, as this can lead to cracking or damage.
  • DO NOT neglect regular cleaning, as build-up of sediments and bacteria can impede water flow and quality.
